Based on my observations one need that my highly able students will require are extensions off of the activity or lab they are doing in class. Since my highly able students are usually the first ones done with an activity, these extensions will allow them to conduct further inquiry and use higher level critical thinking skills to complete them. One need for my average students is that they will need multiple representations of concepts that are taught. Giving them these multiple representations will help them to understand what is being taught and reinforce the concepts. It will also address the multiple intelligences that students have. Lastly, my struggling students will need extending due dates on assignments, one on one assistance, and multiple representations of concepts. Many of these accommodations are already being enforced due to certain students’ IEP plans. I have been also using a variety of thinking maps to help my students organize their thinking, as well as to help me organize the concepts I am teaching
